Search continued yesterday for two Doha students who have been missing for the last two days.
Saurabh Gupta and Arun Jose, Class 10 students of the MES Indian School, did not reach home after school on Wednesday.
Arun Jose’s father said yesterday that the boy had got a mobile phone with him. The number is 77712328 but attempts to contact him have failed as the mobile phone remains switched off.
Parents of both the boys said that they had filed a complaint with the police but so far their searches had been futile. The parents themselves are on the lookout of their children at various places in the city.
A school official said that both the students had no problem with the institution.
One of the boys has been using the school transportation while the other one has been dropped and picked from the school by his parents.
It is suspected that the boys might be staying in an unoccupied house or in a place of their close friends or acquaintances.
The pair, it felt, might have got into an unoccupied house as many families have gone out of the country availing of the extended official Eid holidays that started from Thursday.
One of the boys is in possession of around QR10,000 while the other boy has around QR250 which his father had given him as pocket money. Relatives feel that the boys might be frequenting some eateries or other places, using this money.
Saurabh and Arun are classmates and good friends, according to family sources.
The two had attended the school on the day they had disappeared.
Saurabh’s family stays in Sultan Compound in Ain Khalid and Arun’s family in Barwa City in Abu Hamour.
