Qatar that will stand by the Syrian people during their crisis by providing all the necessary humanitarian aid, the country’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah al-Henzab said yesterday.
Al- Henzab was speaking during a high-level meeting held in Geneva to discuss the humanitarian conditions in Syria.
He added that the Qatari government, with the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, has strived to ease the difficult humanitarian conditions that Syrian people are struggling with.
He noted that Qatari aid to the Syrian people since 2011 has reached around $1.5bn. The aid included food, clothes, medicine and shelter among other things.
