A host of colourful events will be hosted at Safari Mall as part of the shopping centre’s third anniversary celebrations on October 18.

The mall is offering several prizes to the visitors as part of the 10-day celebrations, starting today and concluding on October 23

Besides the ongoing promotion which offers 5 BMW cars to as many lucky winners in a draw to be held on the three successive days starting from October 29, the mall is also holding a food festival, ‘Flavours 2013’, recipe contest for women, free rides for children in Safari Wonderland, free medical and health check-ups, and surprise gifts on the anniversary day.

Safari Group general manager Zainul Abideen said: “We have always explored innovative ways to serve our customers better, making shopping a unique experience for each and every one. This year, we are also holding food festivals starting with Sri Lankan, Nepali, Bangladeshi dishes on October 20.”

The organisers are also planning an Arabic, Filipino, Chinese food festival on October 21. The next day would feature north Indian and Pakistani delicacies. On October 23, a fiesta featuring south Indian cuisines is on the schedule.

To commemorate the anniversary, a four-day medical camp in association with Atlas Polyclinic from October 16, has also been planned. It will be held between 3pm and 9pm.

As in the previous two anniversary celebrations, Safari Mall will give gifts to 50 lucky customers, whose birthday falls on October 18. The managers want those lucky customers to get registered with Safari Mall. The mall owners would also honour 25 lucky customers with gift vouchers worth QR250 on the anniversary day.

A road show by Radio Jockey Reggie Mannil of the Voice of Kerala fame is also planned for October 18.

For the recipe contest, scheduled for October 18, only 50 competitors who registered their names first will be allowed. Inquiries could be obtained from Jeffrey Tomson (55940827). Children will have free rides in Safari Wonderland on four days starting from
October 19.

The ‘alf-value pay back’ scheme during Eid offers customers purchasing readymade garments and footwear for purchases worth at least QR200, vouchers worth QR100 valid at all Safari outlets.
