HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani participated in the International Syria Support Group’s (ISSG) meeting, which was held in Munich.
The meeting, comprising 17 states and three international organisations, aimed to discuss recommendations that would help in ending hostile acts, transferring humanitarian aid and reaching a political solution in Syria.
On Thursday, the minister held a seven-party meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Jawish Ihsanoglu, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond and Assistant Foreign Minister of France Nicolas de Riviere on the sidelines of the ISSG conference.
Then head of the High Negotiations Committee for the Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces (HNC), Riad Hijab, joined the meeting. Discussions dealt with the latest developments in Syria.
