HE Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim yesterday met with Greek defence attache in Doha, Colonel Antonios Vasileiou, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Qatar.
Air Vice Marshal Ghanim Al Ghanim expressed his appreciation of the Greek defence attache’s efforts in enhancing military co-operation between the two friendly countries during his time in Doha, wishing him success in his future posts.
Models of Ford vehicles recalled
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Ford dealer Almana Motors Company, has announced the recall of Ford Focus, Fiesta and Ecosport model year 2011-2015 over the failure of the transmission control module.
The MEC will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

Emir receives phone call from Erdogan
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a telephone call from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.
HH the Emir and the Turkish president reviewed ties between Qatar and Turkey and ways of developing and strengthening them, in addition to the latest developments in the region.
PM meets Algerian FM
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani met the visiting Algerian Minister of State and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Ramtane Lamamra in Doha yesterday.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and Algeria and means of developing them on all fronts. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Qatar-Lebanon ties reviewed
Lebanese President General Michel Aoun met Qatar’s ambassador Ali bin Hamad al-Marri during his participation in the celebration of the 73rd independence day anniversary of Lebanon.
Ambassador al-Marri conveyed the greetings of the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Lebanese president.
