Emir congratulates Moroccan king
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday sent cables of congratulations to HM King Mohamed VI of Morocco on the success of his eye surgery, praying to Allah the Almighty to grant His Majesty health and wellness.

Kuwaiti Emir to hold talks with Trump today
Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah arrived in Washington yesterday where he is scheduled to hold talks with US President Donald Trump today. He is accompanied among others by Deputy Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. Meanwhile, a number of agreements were signed yesterday between Kuwaiti and American entities in different fields. The deals were inked on the sidelines of the US-Kuwait Economic Forum held at the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington. Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and Dow Chemical Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for co-operation in the petrochemical industry and joint investment in the US.

UK body urges MPs to boost ties with Qatar
London Centre For Public Affairs (LCPA) has urged members of the UK parliament to work towards developing relations with Qatar, adding that the UK government must play a leading role in ending any restrictions imposed on the country. In a letter sent to British MPs, LCPA raised concerns about an upcoming event titled “The Qatar, Global Security & Stability Conference,” which claims to “seek a resolution to the regional crisis and a more stable future for Qatar”. “We will be cautiously observing the conference,” said a spokesperson for the LCPA.
