KidZania Doha, the award-winning edutainment concept, has hosted sponsors and an elite group of investors for a site visit and progress observation.
The visitors undertook a tour of the premises and got a sneak peek at the site progress.
A press statement from KidZania Doha said businesses in Qatar have been “keen about expanding” this year and some of them have recently set up establishments in KidZania, a 5,500sqm miniature city and theme park for children in Aspire Zone.
“Influencing brands help create a real-life experience for the children. That’s why sponsors believe the partnership with KidZania provides a unique platform to not only educate children, but provides also an opportunity to support Qatar National Vision 2030 by encouraging an active interest in experiential learning,” the statement noted.
KidZania Doha has signed partnership agreements with many public and private institutions, including Qatar Airways, QNB, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Qatar National Library, Rayyan Water, Al Motahajiba, Jotun Paints, Abdul Samad Al Qurashi and Fairytale Salon.
“Further partnership agreements are expected to be announced soon. Demand from businesses is picking up and KidZania expects to sign more sponsorship agreements in the very near future,” the statement added.
Ric Fearnett, governor of KidZania Doha, said during the event: “We have been championing role-play globally for almost 20 years, and currently partner with over 1,000 global companies. We are very proud to partner with each and every one of you.
“We are in the final stages of preparing for the opening of KidZania Doha in 2018 and welcoming children from Qatar and all over the world. We are proud that we will contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030 through the development and empowerment of children.”
KidZania Doha will provide a unique educational and entertainment experience, offering 42 establishments where children will be able to role-play ‘adult jobs’ in up to 60 pretend roles, learning a variety of values — including self-reliance, teamwork, honesty, integrity and giving back to society.
KidZania Doha is located in Aspire Zone.
