The British Game Fair festival has signed a partnership with Katara – the Cultural Village to co-operate in the field of cultural exchange.
The agreement includes close collaboration between the Game Fair festival, known as the oldest international event that focuses on hunting and falconry, and the Katara-organised International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition - S’hail.
Katara is taking part in the Game Fair festival, which will be held this year at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire from July 27 to 29, by sponsoring the falconry village at the exhibition in its 60th anniversary.
Katara, the main sponsor of the falconry village, will be the sole sponsor of The Private Enclosure.
The Game Fair will assemble a British pavilion, including 10 participating British companies at S’hail, scheduled from September 4 to 8.
Katara, represented by the S’hail exhibition, will take part in the Game Fair exhibition’s Qatari falconry heritage. It will also sponsor the shooting activities at the exhibition.
Katara’s pavilion will introduce S’hail to raise awareness about the event and its activities.
With this partnership, Katara aims to strengthen bonds and co-operation with different international cultural organisations and draw in more participants to S’hail.
Abdulaziz al-Sayed, manager of the S’hail exhibition, said the sponsorship represents S’hail’s commitment to the Game Fair as a strategic and long-term partner and also brings together Qatar and the UK.
“We have a five-year vision and look forward to working closely with the Game Fair on this sporting and cultural exchange”, he added.
Katara is planning to invite several significant and premium British brands to the S’hail exhibition, which will include Purdey, Holland and Holland, William & Son, Carl Russell and Longhorn Guns.
This year’s edition of the S’hail exhibition will have several new activities such as lectures on falconry skills and how to breed falcons, in addition to a dedicated area for the falconry and hunting handicrafts.
