Ashghal will change the Al Manaseer Intersection into a temporary signal-controlled roundabout with four lanes in addition to diverting traffic on part of Al Furousiya Street (leading to the roundabout) into parallel diversion lanes (as shown in the map).
The diversion, which is being done in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will start on Saturday and be in place until November 15.
The diversion aims to enable expansion works on Al Manaseer Intersection to accommodate the current and future traffic by constructing additional lanes.
The intersection will have four main lanes, three lanes to turn left, and one dedicated U-turn lane on Al Furousiya Street.
This is in addition to constructing a new surface water network and other infrastructure utilities, as part of Al Furousiya Street Development Project.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the diversion.
