The land patrols of the Department of Protection and Wildlife at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has referred owners of some violating farms to the State Property Department to complete the necessary procedures to remove their farms.
The procedures would take place in accordance of law no 10 for 1987 regarding public and private state property.
Those farm owners violated the law and built farms on wild areas owned by the state without obtaining a permit from the MME.
Farm owners are requested to display their permits prominently for the land patrols to see as violating farms would be dealt with strictly according to the law.
The MME’s Public Cleaning Department has cleaned Doha Corniche and the area surrounding the Museum of Islamic Art.
All the refuse materials were removed, including the plastic bottles and discarded tyres which were floating in the sea, and taken to the designated places of garbage disposal.
