Drivers on a busy Croatian highway got a shock on
Saturday when a small airplane made a safe emergency landing on the
motorway, the 24Sata daily reported online.
The plane, carrying a middle-aged female student and a flight
instructor, landed on the A6 connecting Zagreb and Rijeka on the
Adriatic coast.
The Cessna's engine had failed during a training flight scheduled
between Zagreb and the Rijeka airport, the report said.
The aircraft taxied until stopping on the right side of the road. No
cars were hit in the process.
