As part of it's commitment to support creativity and innovation, the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) on Monday honoured a group of inventors and specialists from the Qatar Scientific Club.
The felicitation, according to a Kahramaa statement, was for their efforts in creating a Robotic UV Light, a new surface sanitisation technology developed in partnership with the Corporation.
The technology was developed to fight Covid-19 spread while saving energy. Also, the technology is environment-friendly and the equipment functions automatically through remote control.
Kahramaa provided support, on the directions of president engineer Issa bin Hilal al-Kuwari, to the work team in recognition of creativity, innovation and social responsibility activities.
Mohamed Al-Mohannadi, director of Public Relations and Communication at Kahramaa, thanked and appreciated the team members for the invention. The team comprised Dr Nasser Ali al-Ansari, Maryam Khalaf al-Kuwari, Dr Mohamed Ziyad al-Sha’ari, engineer Abdul-Fattah Ali and Omar Ahmed al-Hasanat.
