In a statement, the MoPH noted that there is clear evidence of the protective effects of the vaccines, with the majority of patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) with Covid-19 being either unvaccinated or had their second dose more than six months ago and have not received a booster dose.
The MoPH called for caution and continued adherence to restrictions and precautionary and preventative measures, and to contact 16000 helpline immediately if anyone suffering from Covid-19 symptoms, as early detection of the disease makes it easier to obtain appropriate treatment. – QNA
