The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (Aman) signed yesterday a co-operation agreement with the Moroccan Association for Child Protection (Bayti).
The agreement aims to strengthen co-operation between the two parties to achieve common goals by creating a sustainable and practical framework between them to enhance the quality of services provided to children, and to support the capabilities of regional and national partners through a sustainable programme based on providing the highest levels of care and social protection provided to children.
Under the agreement, the two sides will organise joint events for children, awareness campaigns, workshops, and training courses, aimed at providing protection and social rehabilitation, in addition to developing scientific research by supporting strategic partnerships with institutions, organisations, and research centres to benefit from their specialised programmes of common interest.
Aman executive director Abdulaziz al-Ishaq said the agreement will benefit both sides, transferring the mechanism of protecting children from the perspective of each country and its laws, and developing and innovating by offering events, campaigns, and training workshops for workers in social protection on issues related to children.
Bayti director Amina Lmalih highlighted the importance of activating the international partnership.
She said that such agreements contribute to achieving the vision and mission of both parties and their strategic objectives, which lie in achieving protection and rehabilitation for the target groups.
Children today are the main pillar of building society, and civil society organisations must come together to provide social protection for them.
Bayti is a non-profit, non-governmental association interested in issues related to children, with 26 years of experience in the field of family protection, school and professional reintegration, and providing all support and rehabilitation for children and youth.
Aman, a centre governed by the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, is concerned with the protection and rehabilitation of women and children who are victims of violence or break up, and their reintegration into society.
