His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani led the well-wishers to welcome a number of Arab and Gulf leaders and their accompanying delegations who arrived in Doha Sunday to attend FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony at Al Bayt Stadium.
They included Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Representative of the Kuwaiti Amir Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. The Jordanian delegation also included Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II and a number of ministers. The delegations were also welcomed, among others, by HE the Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem al-Ali.
