Qatar Charity (QC) has provided urgent relief aid to those affected by the earthquake that hit Indonesia's West Java province. The assistance has benefited more than 4,000 people.The relief aid, which came with the support of benefactors from Qatar, was delivered to the affected in the villages of West Java to alleviate their suffering.The aid included food items, drinking water, hygiene kits, and other items.Khaled al-Yafei, director of the Emergency and Relief Department at Qatar Charity, said the aid is part of Qatar Charity's humanitarian and moral duty towards the needy and those affected by disasters and calamities, indicating that such aid is provided through Qatar Charity's field offices worldwide and in co-operation with its local partners.He added that Qatar Charity distributed aid to 1,000 families in four villages completely affected by the earthquake, which damaged buildings and displaced people from their homes.Didi Farhan, the head of a beneficiary village, thanked the people of Qatar and Qatar Charity for providing relief aid and mattresses to the affected, indicating that the timely aid fulfilled the essential needs of the beneficiaries, who are unable to meet their basic needs.
