Al-Mathaq Street, a favourite dining destination for Katara visitors

Katara, the Cultural Village continues to present daily many diverse artistic, music and folklore performances from different cultures including the Palestinian Dabkeh Band and military parades at the seafront promenade.The festive programmes accompanying the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 present more than 51 activities and 300 secondary activities in co-operation with 22 embassies.The events help build bridges of communication between cultures and peoples and provide joy and convergence based on a mixture of culture, art, heritage and sports.The Katara amphitheater hosted two concerts the last two nights, featuring Lebanese singer Elissa and Moroccan artist Saad Lamjarred. Both events were attended by a large audience.Al-Mathaq Street in Katara also attracts foreign visitors and World Cup fans from 3pm until after midnight offering wide options and a variety of food from different cuisines.Michael, a visiting fan, said: "I feel very happy to visit Katara and go to Al-Mathaq Street because the place combines modernity and local heritage, and the stores offer a variety of menus that combine local oriental cuisine with continental food."Jordan from Britain said that he was happy to discover Al-Mathaq Street, which occupies a privileged location on the northern side of Katara, between its view of the sea and the green hills. The visitor who prefers delicious Qatari and oriental food, lauded the cultural, artistic and entertainment atmosphere that Katara is providing for the World Cup audience.Juliette from France said that she enjoys visiting Al-Mathaq Street with her friends, as she was impressed by the restaurants and the distinguished service in addition to the cafes designed like kiosks. The food quality is high and the staff professional.Ali, one of the workers at the Al-Mathaq Street stores, said that evenings witness a great turnout of tourists who are keen to taste the variety and wide choice of food on offer. Al-Mathaq Street has become a favourite destination for people within Katara, as it provides a lovely atmosphere to relax and enjoy.Nazir from the "Kabsa and Daqoos" said he serves dozens of tourists daily who prefer oriental food and want to know about its preparation.The 12th edition of the Katara Traditional Dhow Festival Friday continued to witness a number of fishing and other maritime competitions which are highly popular with participants and visitors.
