Qatar will celebrate Sunday the anniversary of its National Day under the slogan "Our Unity is the Source of Our Strength", which is an excerpt from a speech by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.

The Founder of the modern state of Qatar took over the reins of power nearly 140 years ago on Dec 18, 1878, and preserved its sovereignty and the dignity of its people, and made Qatar a united, cohesive and independent state.
