The festivities of Qatar National Day 2022, marked on December 18 of each year, which was held this year under the slogan Our Unity is the Source of Our Strength, were concluded last evening at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal Muhammad.
The final day of the activities, which were run by the Organizing Committee for the National Day celebrations, during the period from November 25 to December 18, saw a great crowd turnout.
The events attracted large numbers of audiences, especially families of citizens and residents who showed to enjoy the activities that varied between cultural, heritage, educational, artistic, entertainment, competitions and workshops.
Over the course of 24 days, Darb Al Saai this year offered assorted cultural, artistic and literary events, with a rich package of intellectual seminars, poetry evenings, theatrical performances and visual arts, aimed at highlighting Qatari culture, national identity and authentic heritage.
The Ministry of Culture organised a wide range of events, including 4,500 cultural and heritage activities, presented over 191 major events, in cooperation with the Center for Theater Affairs, the Center for Music Affairs, the Center for Visual Arts, the Qatar Center for Poetry (Diwan Al Arab), the Qatari Media Center, the Qatari Forum for Authors, the Qatar Center for Photography, and other centers affiliated with the Ministry.
The events aimed at enhancing the participation of all members of society as well as Qatar's visitors in the National Day celebrations, highlighting the country's history and authentic heritage, and keeping pace with the world most important sporting event FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as Darb Al Saai attracted a large number of fans of the teams participating in the tournament.
