Qatar hosted a reception for member states of the Arab Civil Aviation Organisation in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on the sidelines of the 66th meeting of the ACAO Executive Council.
The ceremony was attended by HE the Minister of Transport Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti.
The event was attended by Moroccan Minister of Transport and Logistics Mohamed Abdeljalil; chairman of ACAO Executive Council Captain Haitham Mesto; and ACAO director general Abdennebi Manar.
Several ministers, heads and representatives of member states’ delegations, and accredited ambassadors in Morocco, were also present.
Mesto congratulated Qatar on the historic success of hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which "amazed" the world.
He praised Qatar’s efforts in managing the air traffic during the global tournament, which saw a surge in air traffic movements. He also wished more progress and prosperity for the Qatari people.
Mesto also expressed his pride of the deep relation between the ACAO and both MOT and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, affirming both sides’ eagerness to push those relations to broader horizons in such a way that serves joint, constructive Arab action.
