The registration process for the 14th Qatar International Falconry and Hunting Festival (Marmi) began Saturday, and will continue until Monday at the headquarters of the Qatari Al Gannas Association in the Cultural Village Foundation "Katara". Participants flocked to the association's headquarters as soon as doors opened to register for the 2023 festival's various tournaments.The Marmi International Festival aims to preserve the traditional and sentimental values of this sport inherited from parents and grandparents, in addition to its importance in the literature of the Arab folklore.The festival is held annually under the auspices of HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani and has become a milestone in the Al-Gannas Association's efforts to preserve Qatari and Gulf heritage. It records a large attendance, whether by the participants in its various tournaments and competitions, or at the level of public attendance.
