The country is expected to be affected by rainy conditions varying in intensity during intermittent periods from Monday, January 2nd, until the end of this week, the Department of Meteorology said in a tweet Sunday. The rain can turn into thundershowers at times, the Met Department added.
The light to moderate wind during the period will be mainly Northwesterly-Northeasterly that can become strong with thundery rain.
The maximum temperatures will range from 20-24 °C and the minimum from 14-17 °C and may become even less at Southeren and external areas.
The Meteorological Department urged all to depend on official sources only for weather information and to ignore rumors and information from unofficial social media accounts.
