The Arab League's General Secretariat launched the 2023 Arab Youth Year. Qatar was represented at the event by HE the Deputy Permanent Representative of Qatar to the Arab League Fahd Rashid al-Muraikhi, QNA reported from Cairo.
At a press conference in Cairo, Dr Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports — head of the executive office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, said the Arab Youth Year aimed to encourage meaningful community participation of youth, exchanging of ideas and experiences with Arab governments, knowing the reality of youth, and finding out the most important future trends regarding their behaviour, aspirations and vision. The Egyptian minister said that a variety of activities and events will be held in Arab countries this year, through the launch of more than 44 programmes.
