Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri said that the team is keen to provide the best possible level and results during their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 9 match against Al Gharafa.
Safri added, "During the break, we played a number of friendly matches and in the FIFA Referee Cup and Ooredoo Cup, where we focused on our strengths. We must thank the players for their sacrifice and discipline in training in particular. They did great work in training during the period of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, so I can say that we've completed our preparations.
"Our matches against Al Gharafa are always special and I have great confidence in the players and their ability to provide everything that is possible in line with the club's reputation. Al Gharafa are a good team with a coach and players of a high level. We were keen to develop our capabilities during the break and we are waiting for the positive results on the field."
Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins said, "Despite the loss to Al Duhail, there were positive things in that match, especially in the first half during which we had three goalscoring opportunities, but not taking advantage of them was the negative thing in the match. Other than that, we suffered after the second goal of Al Duhail and the team was mentally affected, which led to a decline in performance.
