Six people were wounded, including a seven-year-old girl who suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting incident in central London.
Police said the shooting took place in Camden Town near Euston station. Preliminary investigations indicate that the shots were reportedly fired from a moving vehicle, the BBC reported.
Police added that a seven-year-old girl, a 12-year-old girl, and four women between the ages of 21 and 54 were injured in the accident.
Police spokesperson Supt Ed Wells said any shooting incident was "unacceptable, but for multiple people, including two children, to be injured in a shooting in the middle of a Saturday afternoon is shocking."
"An investigation into this dreadful attack is already well under way," Wells added.
"I can assure the communities of Camden and beyond that we will do everything we possibly can to identify and bring to justice those who were responsible," he said.
He added that there would be "an increased visible police presence in the area."
