The upcoming Mahaseel Festival will feature 28 local farms, six national companies specialised in poultry, meat and dairy, two companies producing honey and dates, eight nurseries, as well as shops selling traditional, popular local dishes, Katara Cultural Village Foundation has said.
The seventh edition of Mahaseel Festival will be held in in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality from tomorrow until January 28 in the southern area of Katara. After that, the market will continue operating on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until the end of March, from 9am to 9pm.
Chairman of the Mahaseel organising committee Salman al-Nuaimi said the festival has established its importance in supporting and promoting the highest quality Qatari agricultural and food products, pointing that there will also be activities and art workshops. Mahaseel Festival aims to highlight the importance of growing diverse agricultural and food products. It also contributes to promoting Qatari farm products, which enjoy a good reputation and are available at reasonable prices.
