Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) French Coach Christophe Galtier expressed his happiness at being in Qatar, as part of the Parisian team's two-day promotional tour in the region.
Galtier said in a statement yesterday that Qatar is a country that loves football and hosted an exceptional edition of the World Cup to the smallest detail, as testified by all observers.
PSG Coach expressed his optimism about his team's future in the next stage, stressing that PSG is powered by great ambitions, despite its stumbling in the last round of the league against Rennes, with a loss.
The coach of the French champions indicated that the decline in the team's results is due to the exhaustion that afflicted the team's stars after the World Cup.
However, Galtier dispelled fears, confirming his complete satisfaction with his team's performance in the first round of the league, seeming confident that PSG would return to its normal performance.
He pointed out that Marco Verratti, Nordi Mukiele and goalkeeper Lucas Lavallee will be absent from the promotional tour due to their various injuries, for which they are currently in Paris to receive treatment and go through rehabilitation programs, in preparation for PSG's training and matches.
The PSG Coach said that the PSG team is engaged in its partners' activities and events, which serves as an excellent opportunity to consolidate club-fan relationship.
Galtier continued that the Parisian team will head to Riyadh tomorrow, to play a match against Saudi Al Nassr FC and Al Hilal SFC clubs, remarking that the match is going to be a strong one in the presence of a large number of football stars.
For his part, Brazilian PSG Defender Marquinhos expressed his happiness at returning to World Cup host Qatar, in which he has fond memories of his participation with his country's squad in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament, the first edition in the Arab world and the Middle East.
He added that it is with certainty that this round will bring great returns to the team, regaining their position in France and in Europe, especially as many important challenges await them.
