HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Thani met ministers and senior officials from the participating countries and international organisations on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, now being held in Davos, Switzerland. The World Economic Forum that concludes today is held under the theme ‘"Cooperation in a Fragmented World’.
Sheikh Mohamed also held bilateral meetings with a number of officials of international companies participating in the annual meeting in Davos. During the meetings, they discussed ways to enhance international cooperation in the sectors of trade, investment and industry, and exchanged views on the topics on the agenda of the forum. He also highlighted the leading position of Qatar as a “major destination” for global investments.
The annual meeting at Davos is one of the most important global forums, and constitutes a vital platform that brings together heads of state, senior ministers, in addition to CEOs of major international companies and officials of international and civil organisations, with the aim of discussing international challenges and changes and reviewing solutions in various economic and development sectors.
