President of the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) Abdulrahman al-Farahid al-Malki on Sunday awarded entities and partners who worked with the agency during 2022 for their efforts and dedication.
Al-Malki said the agency, since its establishment, has focused on achieving its goals through intensified efforts between the agency and its partners from different sectors.
“The hard work and dedication were the basis of the agency’s collaboration with its partners to fulfill the agency’s mission of securing the nation’s cyber space. During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the agency witnessed exceptional work and great efforts from its employees and partners as we developed accurate and rapid plans and mechanisms to confront any danger facing various entities during the tournament, including sports facilities and critical entities,” he said.
He pointed out that the World Cup was an exceptional championship, emphasising the agency’s ability in achieving its ultimate goal - which was the protection of the nation’s cyber space before, during and after the tournament.
Al-Malki extended his thanks and appreciation to the various entities and partners for their continuous efforts and co-operation with the NCSA. He distributed appreciation certificates and the agency’s trophy to the following companies: EY, GBM, EBM, KBMG, Palantir, Malomatia, Al Mannai, Mandiant, Deloitte and Microsoft.
Following the awarding ceremony, representatives of these companies expressed their thanks to the president for all the efforts in protecting the nation’s cyber space. They also expressed their full commitment to support Qatar in securing its cyber space.
