The Private Education Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has called on parents to take precautions while dealing with unlicensed home nurseries, as these are dangerous for the security of their children.
In this regard, the ministry has launched an initiative under the theme 'Be Cautious', aiming to eradicate the phenomenon of nurseries that are not licensed by the MoEHE, and subject them to legal accountability in a way that guarantees the safety and security of children.
Director of the Nurseries Department, Dr Rania Mohamed, emphasised the importance of parents to register their children in nurseries that have an official licence from the ministry, as well as the importance to report any unlicensed nursery by checking the ministry's official website.
The nursery stage is important in building and forming a child's personality, and effectively prepares the child to join kindergarten.
