Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently, at Bayt Al-Dhiyafah, Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City. Hamad Nasser Abdulla al-Khalifa, HMC’s chief of health facilities development and acting chief of business services, and Faisal Mohammed al-Emadi, CEO of QRCS, signed the agreement in the presence of several HMC executive leaders and a delegation from QRCS.
The MoU aims to fund and support HMC-wide improvement projects that pass the careful review and assessment conducted by QRCS and HMC. The agreement also brings forward many collaboration opportunities between the two organisations, which focus on implementing HMC improvement projects that enhance patient experience, improve facility and patient care environment, develop better patient care, and promote the welfare and engagement of staff.
Al-Khalifa said: “This MoU is designed to benefit patients who need our help. The partnership with QRCS will allow us to bring more improvement projects into fruition and walk the extra mile to serve our stakeholders better”.
Nasser al-Naimi, HMC’s liaison officer for this partnership and HMC’s deputy chief of quality, Centre for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement, and director, Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, said, “At HMC, we remain steadfast in making sure that our patients, their families, and our staff are provided with the best care, treatment, facilities, and experience”.
Al-Emadi commended the deep-rooted and multifaceted partnership between QRCS and HMC, which culminated in a successful response to the Covid-19 outbreak and admirably concerted emergency medical services efforts at stadiums during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. “With this MoU, we look forward to a further step towards stronger collaboration, inspired by the parameters of Qatar National Vision 2030”.
