QGET, the Qatar Alumni Chapter of Government Engineering College, Thrissur (GECT), has dedicated the 2022 FIFA World Cup volunteer and host county certificates of its members to GECT. At a function held recently, QGET general secretary Darby David presented framed copies of certificates received by the senior-most volunteer from QGET, Mohamed R Faizal of the 1980 batch, to GECT principal Dr Ranjini Bhattathiripad T. In a statement, QGET said it dedicated the certificates to all the students, staff members and other alumni chapters of GECT. "QGET volunteers will always be thankful to Qatar, FIFA and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy for giving them an opportunity to be part of the greatest sporting event in the history of the world," the statement noted.
