Birla Public School student Pratishtha Balwant Dangi (Class 9-J) won four gold medals and one silver in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) National Swimming Championship, hosted by Genius English Medium School, Rajkot, Gujarat, India.
She received the best swimmer award in the under-17 age category. Her events were 50m backstroke - gold; 100m backstroke - gold; 200m backstroke - gold; 100m butterfly - gold; and 50m butterfly - silver. The Birla Public School academic director and principal, Harish Sanduja, and vice-principal (co-scholastics) Rajesh Pillai, have motivated Pratishtha for greater endeavours, a statement noted.
