The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has asked the public to be cautious and to take necessary safety measures while driving in fog. In a video, posted on X, MoI urged drivers to avoid speeding, overtaking or changing lanes while driving in fog. “Avoid speeding, overtaking or changing lanes. Use the vehicles’ signal lights before turning or changing lanes. Use your front and rear windshield wipers to improve visibility. Maintain a safe distance between vehicles. Stay focused on the road and avoid distractions,” the advisory said. Also, the advisory urged the drivers to signal with the lights before turning or changing the lanes and to turn on the low beam headlights. “Use hazard lights only when completely stopped. Keep the right edge of the road or road lines when the visibility is poor. If the visibility is completely blocked, pull over safely and turn the hazard lights to warn other drivers,” the advisory said. “Your adherence to safety guidelines ensures your safety and others,” it added.
