The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change is taking part at the 2nd World Congress of Engineering and Technology (WCET), organised by Qatar University Engineering College.
The ministry is a main partner of QU at WCET, to introduce several of the latest scientific researches and achievements in the field of waste recycling and maintaining the environment. Besides, the ministry's efforts in the related infrastructure field and sustainability will also be showcased.
Accordingly, the pavilion of the ministry saw a considerable turnout of visitors who were keen on getting introduced to the latest services of the ministry and modern technology used in sustainability and recycling. The ministry works to reduce harmful emissions by 25% by 2023. Besides, 35% of the recycled materials were used in construction projects and 100% of treated sewage water was also used.
Meanwhile, the ministry is participating with a special unit for monitoring the air quality outside the hall of the event, and the unit also displays the related data accurately and instantly on a screen inside the pavilion.
