The Qatari Team for Disaster Victims Identification at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), under the direct supervision of the Civil Defence Council, has obtained international accreditation from the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol).
According to a statement from the MoI, the Disaster Victims Identification Office at MoI’s Criminal Evidence and Information Department links all team members from different military and civil sides.
The team, which consists of members from relevant authorities from the MoI and Lekhwiya Force, in addition to the Ministry of Health and Hamad Medical Corporation, is responsible for responding to internal and external disasters and supporting the work of the search and rescue team of Lekhwiya Force in order to unify and strengthen joint efforts.
