In a natural calamity of catastrophic proportions, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake has devastated parts of Turkiye and Syria, killing thousands and trapping an unknown number of people under flattened buildings. Thousands more have been injured. Rescue teams continue to pull survivors from the rubble as the death toll continues to rise. Hundreds of thousands of people left homeless have been battling freezing cold, hunger and despair.
QTV (Qatar Television) is organising a fund raising campaign today at 5.30pm to support the affected people in Syria and Turkiye. The effort is supported by Qatar Media Corporation, Qatar Charity and Qatar Red Crescent Society.
