Prize bonanza awaits winners of various competitions at KIAHF-2023

The Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF-2023) continues to host various activities, including competitions, that are attracting visitors from different groups and nationalities.The third edition of the festival presents more than 30 activities, including exhibitions, workshops, competitions and live performances, that are spread out on the Katara Corniche.As the festival prepares to bring down the curtain on its activities Saturday, the events continue to attract a large audience, especially families visiting the art workshops for the benefit and enjoyment of their children.Art exhibitions have also attracted many visitors.For instance, horse lovers get to learn through the paintings of artist Peter Upton in *The Journey ... A Tale of the Arabian Horse* exhibition, the exhibition of another renowned artist, Ali al-Mimar, and the "Collectibles” exhibition held in co-operation with Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum and the Qatar National Library.There is also the Arab Postage Stamps Museum, which has a distinguished collection of international stamps related to Arabian horses.The artwork of Tariq Maarkesh has also attracted visitors, providing an opportunity for souvenir selfies.Another attraction is the "Interactive Mirrors” exhibition, while the murals that dot the Katara Corniche have given the audience the opportunity to watch artists at work.The festival has also hosted a number of competitions, including the Aseel competition for drawing Arabian horses, which carry big prizes.The first-place winner will receive QR12,000, the second-place winner QR8,000, and the third-place winner QR5,000.The winners of the "Best Photo” competition for Arabian horses, held on the day of the Auction (February 6), will be awarded prizes of QR12,000, QR8,000 and QR5,000, respectively.The horse saddle painting competition has seen the participation of 30 artists from within and without Qatar.The winners will receive a prize of QR30,000 (first place), QR20,000 (second) and QR10,000 (third).
