The Department of Natural Reserves at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has restored more than seven natural reserves across the country after they were damaged by vehicles.
Al-Khuwaymat, Rawdat Saleh in the Al-Areek area, Brahas, Al-Nu`man, Boufasilah, North Al-Sidria Rawdat in Al-Reem Reserve were among those restored.
Personnel from the Department of Natural Reserves removed traces of vehicle encroachment, replaced the original soil, planted native trees and facilitated irrigation for the restoration process.
The ministry has urged visitors to preserve the plant beds by following the designated paths for vehicles.
The ministry conducts patrols round-the-clock in all areas of reserves to monitor violators and take the necessary measures.
