DPS-Modern Indian School, conducted its 22nd Annual Day, on the theme 'One Earth, One Family, One Future' recently. The cultural extravaganza was in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and celebrated India’s G20 Presidency which focuses on human centric globalisation and promotes an inclusive and sustainable future.
The chief guest, Indian embassy first secretary (Culture, Education & Information) Sachin Dinkar Shankpal congratulated the institution for choosing the apt and thought-provoking theme. Principal Asna Nafees, in her address, highlighted the necessity of adopting and advocating green practices to survive and thrive.
President Hasan Chougule shared the accolades and achievements in both academic and co-curricular activities. He stated that the school has received ‘Award of Academic Excellence’ for outstanding results in Grades X & XII CBSE Board Examination for nine consecutive years in the Gulf region.
The cultural programme featured about 450 artists from the junior and senior wing of DPS-MIS. The closing scene celebrated 50 years of Qatar-India diplomatic relations.
