A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck Talaud Islands, northeastern Indonesia.
In a press release, the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency said that the quake's epicentre was at a depth of 11 km, noting that there were no possible tsunamis in the aftermath of the quake.
Earthquakes regularly strike different parts of Indonesia, which is located on the Pacific belt known as the "Ring of Fire," and many tectonic plates meet and cause frequent volcanic and seismic activity.
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake killed four people after it struck Jayapura, the capital of the Indonesian province of Papua, on Thursday.
