His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held Monday a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giorgia Meloni.
At the outset of the conversation, the Italian Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Amir and the accompanying delegation to Rome, expressing regret over not being able to meet the Amir during his visit due to a health problem, and looking forwards to continuing joint work between the two friendly countries to realise their common interests.
The Amir expressed his wishes of good health and wellness for the prime minister, stressing that his visit is an important step in developing bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, and looking forward to meeting the prime minister in the near future.
The two sides also discussed friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries and the aspects of developing them.
