Alfardan Group's management joins staff, families to mark National Sport Day

Leading Qatari conglomerate, Alfardan Group, celebrated the ‘National Sport Day 2023’ under the theme of ‘One Team, One Family’ with a full-day event for employees and their families at Aspire Zone.The event was attended by more than 2,000 guests, including employees and members of the Alfardan family namely, Fahad Hussain Alfardan, board director and president of Alfardan Exchange, Alfardan Marine Services and Alfardan Investment; Fardan Fahad Alfardan, general manager, Wahat Al Shafalahiya and Safwa; Sara Fahad Alfardan, head of Communications and PR, Alfardan Group; Hussain Omar Alfardan, general manager, Business & Network Development, Alfardan Automotive Division; and Zohour Omar Alfardan, head of Development and Lifestyle, Alfardan Hospitality.The event featured volleyball, basketball, and football matches, Zumba by Al Gassar Resort fitness team, fun activities for children, healthy meals from St Regis Doha, and health consultations by Alfardan Medical with Northwestern Medicine (AMNM), where doctors provided free family medicine checkups and distributed vouchers among the winners.At the end of the event, winners were awarded medals and trophies by the top management.The health and wellbeing of its employees is a top priority at Alfardan Group, which has been celebrating Qatar National Sport Day across all its business units since the event was established by the Qatari government in 2012.Basketball, volleyball, football, cricket, padel, badminton, table tennis, and billiards tournaments between teams of different business units kicked off a month before Qatar National Sport Day, with four rounds of elimination games leading up to the finals, which were held on National Sport Day. This year, employees were also invited to participate in a month-long step counting challenge.Employees and management actively participate in all the games that not only foster a healthy lifestyle but also boost team spirit and motivation among employees.
