The European Aerospace Industries Group (Airbus) recorded a new record net profit in 2022 amounting to 4.2 billion euros, with an increase of 1 percent over the figures of the previous year, despite the difficulties in increasing aircraft production due to problems in its supplier network.
The group said in a statement Thursday that it had delivered 661 aircraft in 2022, out of 720 aircraft that were within its plans. It intends to deliver 720 aircraft to its customers in 2023.
Group Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Faury said "We delivered solid financials despite an adverse operating environment that prevented our supply chain from recovering at the pace we expected."
