As part of its efforts to promote active lifestyle and healthy living among the community members, Meeza, Qatar’s prominent end-to-end managed IT services and solutions provider, sponsored a wide array of sports activities within the event organised by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) on Qatar National Sport Day (NSD) at the Southern Crescent Park in Lusail.
The sponsorship comes in line with Meeza's efforts to contribute to achieving the human development goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, a press statement noted. Highlights of the activities included football, basketball, volleyball, women's fitness, padel and many more interesting and fun sport events. The event also featured special areas and activities for women.
As Qatar residents thronged to different locations across the country to engage in various sporting activities, Meeza encouraged its employees and their families to live an active life and discover their sport potentials by practicing appropriate sports suitable for their ages and abilities. Commenting on the importance of National Sport Day and sponsorship of the event, Mohsin Nasser al-Ghethani, Meeza chief operations officer, said: “We are delighted to sponsor some sporting activities once again at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology event on Qatar National Sport Day and
participated actively in a wide range of activities. At Meeza, we are always committed to supporting all national activities that will contribute to the well-being and healthy living of Qatar’s population.”
He added, “The Sport Day provides an important opportunity for our country to remind the community members about the importance of sports in our daily life and the need to stay fit and healthy not only on a particular day but at all times round the year. The celebration of Sport Day also helps bring people together to practise sports as community engagements."
