His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended Saturday the conclusion of His Highness Sword Equestrian Festival held at the racecourse of the Racing and Equestrian Club in Al Rayyan.The closing ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa al-Thani and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa al-Thani. It was also attended by a number of Sheikhs, Ministers, horse owners and fans of equestrian sport.The Amir crowned the winners on the final day of HH The Amir Sword Festival 2023.His Highness Sheikh Tamim handed the Golden Sword to Ali bin Yousef Al Rimaihi, representing Wathnan Racing, as the horse "Abbes" won the 8th race of Purebred Arabian - Grade 1 for a 2400m distance.His Highness the Amir also handed the Cup to Mike Cheung Shun Ching as "Russian Emperor" won the 7th race for Gr1 Thoroughbreds (Class 1) 2400m.His Highness handed the Silver Sword to Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Attiyah as "Ska De L'Aigle" won the 6th race of Purebred Arabian ((4yo only) 1850m, and handed the Shalfa (spear) to Khalid Shuail Al Kuwari for "King Pacha" victory in the 5th race of Thoroughbred Open Handicap (Class 2) 2000m.His Highness the Amir also handed the trophies to winners of the first four places in the heritage race, namely Mohamed Kamaan Al Hajeri, Saleh Faraj Al Otaibi, Mohamed Fahad Al Hajeri and Reja Saad Al Hajeri.His Highness also crowned the winners of he Endurance Race: Saeed Al Samsi 1st.; Saeed AL Muhairi 2nd. and Mohamed Al Mutairi 3rd.HH the Amir handed the trophies to the winners in the show jumping grand prize: Ghanem Nasser Al Qadi 1st.; Faleh Suwaid Al Ajmi 2nd. and Bassem Hassan Mohammed 3rd.His Highness also honoured the sponsoring companies of the prestigious equestrian festival.His Highness the Amir attended part of the closing runs of the purebred horse competition, and the closing run of the heritage race on the dirt track, in addition to the main run on the Golden Sword of His Highness for purebred Arabians.
