Qatar Press Center CEO Faisal Abdulhameed al-Mudahka met with Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q) dean and CEO Marwan M Kraidy, at the center's headquarters to discuss ways of co-operation between the two parties in the media field.
They also reviewed ways to hold training courses, events, activities and joint research to enhance the role of media among Qatari youth, by focusing on modern media, which includes all means of social communication, a statement said.
Ways of co-operation between Qatar Press Center and NU-Q were discussed to exchange experiences and training, which would raise the level of individuals in the field of modern media.
Qatar Press Center aims to contribute to the development of media and journalism, and taking care of the affairs of media professionals in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030, which has made investing in people a top priority.
The institution, an apex body for advancing journalism and media, strives to be a home that gathers journalists and media professionals in the country.
Qatar Press Center will be a media and press club in the country, holding events throughout the year, and issuing research and studies in the field of media and journalism, in addition to establishing partnerships with the authorities concerned and similar entities and clubs worldwide, the statement added.
