The organising committee for the Zeeenah initiative has announced the winners of the celebratory activities for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, according to a statement from the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).The initiative recognised individuals, businesses, schools, and government entities that have worked to beautify and decorate the facades of workplaces, schools, universities and real estate, in addition to squares, roads and other public services ahead of and during the World Cup.The winners of various categories of educational institutions, in the order of first (QR40,000 cash prize), second (QR30,000) and third (QR20,000), respectively, are:
- Kindergartens – Hetteen Model Kindergarten for boys, Al Safeer International Kindergarten, Al salam Kindergarten for Girls.
- Primary schools – Ali Bin Abdulla Model School for Boys, Saad Bin Abi Waqas Model School for Boys, Abdulla Bin Alzubair Model School for Boys.
- Preparatory schools – Barzan Preparatory School for Girls, Amna Bint Wahab Preparatory School for Girls, Ruqyya Preparatory School for Girls.
- Secondary schools – Ramla Bint Abi Sufyan Secondary School for Girls, Qatar Banking Studies Secondary School, Abdul Rahman Bin Auf Secondary School.
- Co-educational schools – GEMS American Academy, Arab International Academy, Nord Anglia International School.
- In the Universities category, Lusail University won the first prize (winning QR60,000) while University of Doha for Science and Technology came second (QR50,000) and Qatar University's College of Engineering came third (QR40,000).
