Artworks unveiled on Qatar beaches

The Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads & Public Places in Qatar announced completion of various artworks in the beaches of Sealine, Al Farkiah, Al Ghariya & Simaisma in cooperation with the Qatari artist Leena Al-Aali.Eng. Sara Kafood, Committee Deputy Chairman: The presence of artworks on the beaches contributes to making art accessible to all, as transforming entertainment venues into an open art gallery plays a major role in enhancing local identity and civilized interaction.Eng. Hessa Al-Kaabi, Project Design Manager: The artworks play a major role in providing an entertaining and interactive experience to visitors of all age groups, as they can take photos to become part of the artworks and enjoy their lively beautiful colours.Artist Leena Al-Aali: The idea of artworks was inspired by the Gulf environment in general & particularly the Qatari environment. This introduces visitors to our rich tradition that reflects our artistic & cultural identity through modern designs reflecting the aesthetics of fine art.
