Barcelona said first-team player Ansu Fati suffered a bruised knee in Friday's training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The striker is not available for selection, and his recovery will dictate his return to action, the Catalan club said in a statement.
Barcelona are leading the La Liga table with eight points clear of second place Real Madrid.
The Catalan giants will take on Almeria on Sunday.
